Padang

     Padang is the capital and largest city of West Sumatra , Indonesia. It has an area of 694.96 square kilometers (268,3 sq mi ) and a population of over 833,000 people. The town is quite nice and deserves a longer visit.

     Padang has some pretty beaches. The most popular ones are located south of padang. The beaches are good for swimming. Boating or just watching fishing boat going out in the afternoon. On Sundays, the beaches are usually crowded with families and youngster enjoying there weekly day off.

     On of the most  famous attractions in Padang is the renowded "Nasi Padang". Numerous restaurants serve it. One of the most famous is Simpang Raya, which has branches troughout West Sumatra and Riau but also in other cities in Indonesia. When we sit down at a table. In no time the waiter will fill the whole table with plates, containing Kari, chicken, and fish prepared in coconut curry, rendang,meat in coconut gravy and dendeng balado, this slices of dried and fried beef served with red chilies. Because of Padang Cooking identical with hot taste.

     Padang also has several houses built in tradisional architecture, in Padang Museum, which house objects of cultural and historical interest. The main sight in the city include Adityawarman Museum in a tradisional Minangkabau house featuring a good collection and antiques and the cultural center where we can see tradisional dances on Sundays. It is an arts institute, which often stages Minang dances and Pencak Silat performances. The cultural center also offers free tours to the city. So, we can study and know about Minangkabau culture too.

      One more thing, there isn't much traffic jam unlike big cities. Padang is small and quite city. Padang certain exactly be live city.
